The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) was able to accomplish a significant milestone by exceeding its revenue collection target for the fiscal year (FY) 2022–2023. This was the second consecutive FY in which SRB outperformed its revenue target. In addition, SRB collected an unprecedented Rs. 24 billion in revenue in June 2023, the highest monthly revenue collection since it started collecting revenue 13 years ago.
By generating income of Rs 185.3 billion for the fiscal year 2022–2023, SRB outperformed its set revenue target of Rs 180 billion by Rs 5.3 billion, a noteworthy accomplishment.
The collection of Rs. 153.5 billion in 2021–2022 is a 21% increase from that amount.
In spite of the ongoing negative effects of Sindh’s terrible floods, the slowing economy, and the lack of new levies as a result of tax-free budgets in Sindh, it is remarkable that SRB demonstrated an excellent performance.
The landmark accomplishments demonstrate the team’s constancy and unwavering commitment.
The SRB team expresses appreciation to the taxpayers for their confidence and cooperation as well as to the Government of Sindh for their ongoing assistance. SRB keeps up its commitment to “generating revenue for the people”.
