Following much rumour, the opponents for Pakistan’s women’s football team’s two friendly matches during the official FIFA international window next month have been made public.
In a reported matchup between Pakistan and Singapore, dates between July 13 and July 19 are reportedly being considered.
Pakistan and Singapore are placed 157 and 131, respectively, in terms of rankings. Despite the large disparity in skill levels between the two teams, this is a fantastic chance for the young Pakistani squad to shine.
Aqsa Mushtaq will probably also join Pakistan’s women’s football squad. British-Pakistani player Aqsa competes for Lewes FC Women, a team that is 100% fan-owned and now competes in the Women’s Championship, the second-highest level of women’s football in England.
After an eight-year hiatus, The Women in Green made their international football comeback in 2022, excelling during their appearance in the SAFF Championships before taking second in the 4-Nation event in Saudi Arabia.
Pakistan climbed up four ranks in the international rankings, moving up to the 157th slot in the globe, thanks to their strong performance in the two events.
