According to official documents made available to ProPakistani, the federal government has proposed allocating a sizeable sum of more than Rs. Building a cancer hospital in the nation’s capital will cost $7.4 billion.
According to the proposal, the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) will be asked to approve the plan for building the cancer hospital. The Ministry of Health will work with and support the construction of the hospital in Islamabad.
The records state that the facility will serve about 7,000 patients a year in its initial phase of operation. In a period of five to 10 years, as the hospital extends its services, this capacity is anticipated to rise to sixteen thousand patients.
Two years are expected to pass before the 200-bed cancer facility is completed. The records also note that a sizeable amount of the monies allotted would be used to buy crucial medical equipment required for the operation of the facility.
The documents also disclose that it is anticipated that furnishings will cost more than Rs. 200 million to be purchased.
The opening of this cancer hospital seeks to give cancer patients in the nation’s capital specialised care, diagnosis, and treatment. It demonstrates the government’s dedication to enhancing the region’s healthcare system and meeting the rising need for high-quality cancer services.
