CPL 2023: Azam Khan Signs for Guyana Amazon Warriors in $120,000 Deal

The renowned wicket-keeper batsman Azam Khan has officially signed with the Guyana Amazon Warriors for the upcoming 2023 Caribbean Premier League (CPL), beginning an exhilarating new chapter in his career.

Azam is reportedly among the highest-paid Pakistani athletes now playing in European leagues, with some estimating the value of his contract with the squad to be an astonishing $120,000.

Cricket fans have recognised and admired Azam for showcasing his power-hitting skills for the Barbados Royals in the CPL’s 2021 and 2022 seasons. He totaled 178 runs and 257 runs in those two seasons, respectively, and made a significant impact with his electrifying on-field displays.

Renowned international athletes Dwaine Pretorius, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, and Imran Tahir will join Azam at the Guyana Amazon Warriors, bolstering the roster’s strength and depth for the much anticipated 2023 CPL.

Two additional Pakistani cricket stars were also able to get contracts in the CPL 2023 draught, which was held on June 30. The Jamaica Tallawahs, the team that won last year’s title, have chosen Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir.

The 2023 CPL, which runs from August 16 to September 24 in Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, Guyana, Saint Lucia, and St. Kitts & Nevis, is expected to enthral cricket fans in those countries as teams compete for success in this coveted Caribbean spectacular.
