The Pakistani cricketer Haider Ali discussed the unpredictable nature of the sport after experiencing a poor start to his Vitality Blast debut with Derbyshire. Haider, who is taking part in his debut county season, admitted it’s impossible to have a huge game every time he bats.
Haider Ali kept a positive outlook and emphasised the significance of giving one’s all during his debut Vitality Blast encounter against Lancashire as he reflected on his golden duck.
“As I compete with Derbyshire in my first county season, the coaching staff and other players have my full support. Each and every time you take the pitch to bat, you can’t expect to score a hundred or fifty runs. It’s part of the game, but all I can do is give it my best shot. I’m excited about the remainder of the season,” Haider remarked.
Haider Ali expressed excitement about taking part in the T20 Blast despite the initial setback in his Vitality Blast debut. He said the players in the tournament were dynamic and experienced, and the competition was fierce.
I’m quite excited to engage in T20 Blast because these games are extremely competitive and feature some highly talented and entertaining players.
Additionally, these games are live on television, so I really want to highlight my performance in the competition, ” he added.
Haider is certain that his season with Derbyshire will be successful after having a huge impact during his T20I debut for Pakistan in England back in 2020, where he scored a fifty in his first international encounter.
